Trichonephila is a genus of orb-weaver spiders that was first described by Friedrich Dahl in 1911, as a subgenus of Nephila. Trichonephila was elevated to the level of genus by Kuntner et al in 2019. Wikipedia
Scientific name: Trichonephila antipodiana
The female has completely black palps and legs, without any red or yellow joints. On the underside (not shown in photo), there is a strong conical tubercle near the mouth. The sternum is decorated with seven yellow spots on the edge. Spins a web with a yellowish tinge. NUS – Joseph Koh
