Although most of the time I will go to the park alone as I need time to search for wild animals, this time I decided to join an event called Birdwatching organised by Nature Kaki, NParks, Nature Society Singapore and Boon Lay CCC.
The event was conducted at an Active SG Park, Jurong Lake Gardens. Minister Desmond Lee kicked off the event at 7.30 in the morning, introducing this Bird Watching activity and encouraging families to explore Nature, as there are many natural places in Singapore.
My Group was led by Wing Chong, an experienced birder. I really love how he introduces the birds with a story, which was really interesting and we will easily remember the birds he mentioned because of those stories.
Some of the birds we spotted:
- Oriental white eye
- White-Collared King Fisher
- Sunbird
- Night Jar
- Rufous woodpecker
- Barbet
- Javan Munia
- Yellow-Vented Bulbul
- Slaty-breasted Rail
- Coucal
- Asian Glossy Starling
- Pink-necked Green Pigeon
- Oriental Pied Hornbill
